In recent years, Buffalo has experienced an incredible transformation, with development at four different waterfront locations dramatically expanding its activities throughout all four seasons. This includes boating, kayaking, sailing, concerts, skating, and festivals as well as numerous waterside restaurants. Its Theater District boasts a vibrant collection of live theaters and a movie theater along with retail shops and art galleries. For the outdoor enthusiasts there are many parks to choose from for biking, running and walking trails - while skiing can be enjoyed less than an hour away in the winter months. Buffalo is associated with one very famous local food, the chicken wing.
